Honest listings

  • Use your own photos of the actual item — no stock images.
  • Describe condition honestly (new, like-new, used, for parts).
  • Set a fair price. No bait-and-switch.
  • Update the listing when an item sells or is no longer available.

Respect & safety

No hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or discriminatory content in listings, photos, profiles, or messages. We remove this content and suspend accounts without warning.

Meet buyers and sellers in well-lit, accessible areas. Bring a friend. Trust your instincts. Sellabout does not vet or background-check users.

Community events (HOAs & organizers)

  • Only create a community page if you have authority to organize the event (HOA board, neighborhood association, school, church, apartment management).
  • Use real event dates and accurate neighborhood boundaries.
  • Don't include personal addresses for non-participating homes.
  • Review resident submissions promptly so the map stays accurate.

Advertisers

  • Ads must promote a real, lawful local business or service.
  • Truthful claims only. No misleading pricing or fake urgency.
  • Creative must match the destination — no clickbait.
  • No targeting based on protected characteristics.
